Power fashion/art couple Cynthia Rowley and Bill Powers are using their new Work of Art fame to launch their new website/project, Exhibition A.

Like many fashion sale sites that are out there now (salemail, Gilt Groupe, etc), Exhibition A sells limited edition prints, for limited timed auction intervals. It also functions much like these fashion sites in that if you get a friend to sign up, you get a $20 “bonus” for future purchases- actually $20 per friend. Not bad. Becoming a member is just a matter of registering, but they ensure that members get “exclusive editions by top artists.”

Some of the featured artists are the big guys- Terence Koh, David LaChappelle, Richard Phillips. The prints range from $75- $500, depending on artist of course, and much like Jen Bekman’s 20x 200 project, actually exactly like her project- what size you get, and further if you want it printed on canvas or paper. The thing I find weird in that is, a good print run is printed all at once to ensure consistency in color/print quality.
hmmm.

The most hilarious part though is a collector’s Q&A with cartoon-like Simon de Pury, who doesn’t seem like a real person after his stint as the Tim Gunn role on Work of Art. This photo says it all!
