Recently we stumbled across a little German gallery called Basementizid in Heilbronn. This little art cellar space is a gallery for contemporary art which is into word, image and sound. They devoted themselves to a wide spectrum of all forms of expressions and promote a monthly dialogue between regional, nationwide and international artists. ‘Think global, akt local’; as they say.
This Saturday, October the 9th, they open their doors to present Annika C. Winkelmann. There’s little known about the artist and little to be found on the internet, but we know this: Winkelmann’s room installations are made from textile, photos, drawings and concrete. Through presenting the working process as part of of her installations, Winkelmann coins the emotional examination and the following abstraction as intrinsic part of her work.
